NEBOSH International General Certificate is ideal for managers, supervisors and anybody with health and safety management responsibilities. It’s also perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career and gives you a stepping stone to success.

Unit IG1: Management of Health and Safety:

• Why we should manage workplace health and safety

• How health and safety management systems work and what they look like

• Managing risk – understanding people and processes

• Health and safety monitoring and measuring

Unit IG2: Risk Assessment:

• Physical and psychological health
• Musculoskeletal health
• Chemical and biological agents
• General workplace issues
• Work equipment
• Fire
• Electricity

Format of Open Book Examination:

The open book examination will begin by giving a scenario. This will typically describe a realistic organization or workplace with an outline of normal operational activities and worker behavior.

Candidates may be asked to imagine that you hold a specific role such as, a safety Manager, in the workplace described.

Unit IG 1: Paper

1. Login Details by NEBOSH
2. Home Based Online Exam
3. Scenario Based 10 QTNS
4. Paper Time: 24 Hours
5. Interview after Exam
6. Passing Marks: 45/100
7. Result: After 50 Days of Exam

Unit IG 2: Assessment

1. Practical Assessment as per criteria of NEBOSH
2. Submission within 15 days after IG1 Exams
3. Report submission electronically via email
4. Report will be Pass/Refer


Assessment:

• Unit IG1 is assessed by a scenario based assessment completed at home. You have 24 hours to complete this.

• Unit IG2 is assessed by a three hour practical assessment carried out in your workplace (or another suitable workplace)

Exams are held every month throughout the year.
